Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is chipped.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge at the forward end of the butt. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges forward of the wrist and a mild gouge before the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark in front of the magazine plate. Mild pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the handguard there is a light gouge halfway between the barrel bands and a mild gouge before the front barrel band.
All bluing was previously refurbished.
Receiver has light surface marks. Barrel has a small spot of light pitting before the rear sight. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light tool marks around their screws. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light pitting. Magazine base has light pitting.
P stamped receiver.
