Antique Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of 24,550 rifles produced that qualify as Antique.
On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark near the rear of the comb. Around the finger groove there are light gouges and heavy pressure marks. On the left side of the stock there are mild pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouging between the wrist and finger groove. Heavy pressure marks above the finger groove. Light gouge at the woodline between the finger groove and rear barrel band. Mild gouge on the forearm between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is a mild gouge behind the trigger guard. Heavy pressure marks and light gouges on the handguard between the ferrule and rear barrel band. On the right side of the handguard there are a couple of heavy pressure marks before the rear barrel band.
All bluing was previously refurbished.
Receiver has surface marks scattered throughout. Magazine plate has light to mild finish wear. Trigger guard has light finish wear.
No P stamp noted.
