Antique Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1897, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Upper bolt knob is chipped and cracked. Lower bolt knob is cracked. The bolt knob screw had been cut and grinded down to be flush with the top of the chipped knob.
Tiger stripe pattern on the stock and handguard.
On the right side of the stock, there is a light gouge near the rear of the butt. Heavy pressure mark at the butt just before the grip. Multiple light gouges between the finger groove and rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there are light gouges at the butt and grip toward the bottom. Light gouges above the trigger. Light gouge over the finger groove. Paid of mild gouges on the forearm between the barrel bands. Small group of mild pressure marks before the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark on the butt by the rear sling mount. The comb of the stock has a long pressure mark along the left side.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Mild finish wear over the chamber and on the right side of the receiver. Mild surface mark on the left edge of the loading slot. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light patina. Moderate finish wear on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine.
Receiver is P stamped.
