Swiss dagger, known as both a Schweizerdolch and Holbein dagger, manufactured to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation in 1991. Limited production run of 700 pieces total, this one is number 307.
The hilt features a downward-pointing double quillon and an upward-pointing pommel, both made of brass. The oiled walnut grip is in excellent condition with few handling marks.
The blade is highly polished. One side is etched with the text "700 Jahre Eigdenossenschaft" (700 years of Confederation), the Swiss shield, and the years "1291-1991". The other side is etched with "Nr 307 von 700".
Scabbard is brown leather with a brass throat and brass tip. The leather is in very good condition. The brass throat has come unglued from the leather and is able to be slid off the scabbard.
