Walther PP (Polizeipistole), produced in 1979, in mint condition. 5/5 Bore. One of 500 pieces manufactured to celebrate the 50th anniversary of model PP production.
Bluing is high polished. Trigger, hammer, magazine catch, and extractor are gold plated. The right side of the slide is marked in gold inlay with the serial number and "Cal. 9 mm kurz". German nitro proof stamp to the right of the gold inlay. Left side of the slide is marked in gold inlay with "50 Jahre" [Walther ribbon logo] "PP 1929-1979".
Barrel is stamped with the nitro proof stamp, "HK" date code for 1979, and the stamp for the Ulm proof house.
Grips exhibit little to no handling wear. Both grips have a beautiful carving depicting oak leaves and acorns. The right side grip also has the Walther banner logo at the top of the grip.
The included certificate of authenticity, denoting that 500 pieces were made, has a matching serial number and is dated 05 AUG 1979.
Pistol includes one spare magazine with flat base. Pistol and spare magazine is packaged inside a commemorative wooden case lined with green felt. The wooden case has a couple faint pressure marks from storage and/or handling. The wooden case is boxed inside the original cardboard box which has a sticker with matching serial number.
Also includes original factory owner's manual and original factory 25m test target.
Please note that this Walther PP is chambered in 9mm kurz, also known as .380 Auto, .380 ACP, 9x17mm Short, and 9 mm Browning Court.
