Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1942, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has various pressure marks throughout and areas of finish wear. Heavy wear around the butt. On the right side of the stock there are a pair of long moderate to heavy pressure marks along the side of the butt, ending at the grip and a couple of light gouges below the comb. There is a heavy gouge above the magazine catch and a couple of light scrapes to the left of the finger groove. There are several moderate to heavy pressure marks around the finger groove and to the right of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is a gouge near the woodline, below the serial number on the receiver. Below the finger groove is a mild to fair scratch. Before the rear barrel band there are a pair of large, heavy pressure marks that run between the stock and handguard. The finish on much of the handguard is worn.
Receiver has mild finish wear predominantly on the left and top sides. Mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light edge wear on the right side. Rear barrel band has light finish wear and light patina. Front barrel band has light finish wear. Magazine plate has light finish wear and a couple of light scratches in the finish behind the trigger guard. Trigger guard has mild edge wear and light finish wear. Fair finish wear on the underside of the magazine.
Diopter sights are installed. The rear diopter is a standard W+F BERN K-type diopter and mount with six selectable aperture sizes. The front sight is a W+F BERN K-type tunnel sight.
Receiver is P stamped. Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
