Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1952, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore. 5/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Furniture has typical handling marks present in the form of light pressure marks. A larger concentration of pressure marks are present near the butt o f the stock, as well as a dark coloration in the wood. There is a round shaped heavy pressure mark on the right side of the stock, rear of the grip and below the comb, and a line shaped heavy pressure mark near the trigger. Tiger stripe pattern present in the stock, long wood grain pattern in the handguard. Receiver has light finish wear around the loading slot as well as around the rear left side. Rear barrel band has dark bluing with light finish wear on the underside at the mounting screw. Front barrel band has heavy finish wear all around and on the underside at the bayonet lug. There is finish wear on the front sight ears as well as heavy finish wear on the exposed barrel. Trigger plate bluing is dark with a few marks in the bluing. Trigger guard has heavy edge wear. Bluing on the magazine base is worn and shows heavy edge wear. P stamped receiver. Soldier's tag found under butt plate. Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
Includes 1914 Pioneer Sawback bayonet with matching serial number. Bayonet has seen some use with a dulled tip and some chips in the blade. Bayonet includes steel scabbard with leather frog. While the 1918 bayonet was typically issued with the K31, the 1914 Pioneer bayonet was issued to select troops, including engineers, transportation, and artillery drivers.

The Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) that was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 through 1958. The K31 was made by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern, a Swiss federal armory, and is one of the last carbines employed by the Swiss military that is based on the designs by Schmidt and Rubin.
