Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1941, in good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore (bright bore, sharp rifling, light pitting throughout bore). 1/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture overall is in rough condition, with quite many pressure marks found throughout. Most of the pressure marks are light in nature. On the right side of the stock, there are several heavy gouges around the finger groove. There is also a round-shaped crack in the wood around the bottom of the finger groove. Heavy gouge in the forearm that spans between the stock and handguard, before the front barrel band. The left side of the stock has a majority of the pressure marks and gouges in the furniture. There are multiple light to mild pressure marks along the grip. Multiple small, mild pressure marks before the finger groove. Gouge on the right edge of the finger groove and above the finger groove. Several long, heavy pressure marks in front of the finger groove. Gouging on the forearm before the front barrel band, spanning from the stock to the handguard. Gouging on the underside of the grip. Handguard has multiple gouges in front of the rear sight, particularly on the left side.
Receiver has mild finish wear throughout, with heavier finish wear found on the left side at the rear. Mild edge wear on the right side of the receiver. Light to mild edge wear around the loading slot. Rear barrel band has mild finish wear throughout with heavy patina. Front barrel band has light finish wear, with finish wear on the left side at the hinge, on the right side at the mounting screw, light edge wear on the bayonet lug, and light finish wear on the stacking lug. Mild to fair edge wear on the front sight. Magazine plate has good bluing with light finish wear. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Magazine has fair to moderate finish wear on the underside as well as mild patina.
Receiver is P stamped.

The Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) that was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 through 1958. The K31 was made by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern, a Swiss federal armory, and is one of the last carbines employed by the Swiss military that is based on the designs by Schmidt and Rubin.
