Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1951, in very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has some areas of heavy handling wear and finish wear, most notably around the butt of the stock. On the right side of the stock, there are a couple of mild pressure marks to the right of the Swiss military acceptance stamp and a light scrape near the pistol grip. To the left of the finger groove there are some heavy pressure marks, a heavy pressure mark on the left edge of the finger groove, and finish wear and a gouge below the finger groove. There is a light gouge above the right side of the finger groove, and some scraping to the right of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a gouge before the rear sling mount. There is some sort of light discoloration on the grip. There is an area of heavy handling wear from the finger groove to the top of the grip, with some light gouging at the woodline. On the underside of the stock there is a small gouge on the pistol grip. There is a very light scratch running between the two barrel bands. On the comb of the stock there are a few light gouges. There are a couple of moderate pressure marks in front of the handguard ferrule and a heavy pressure mark on the top side of the handguard in between the two barrel bands.
Receiver has mostly light finish wear, with mild finish wear on the left side at the rear. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Mild finish wear on the barrel step. Light edge wear on the right side. Mild to fair finish wear on the rear barrel band. Front barrel band is likely refinished and has minor to very light finish wear. Heavy edge wear on the upper edge of the front sight base. and heavy finish wear on the underside of the barrel at the muzzle. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear on part of the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
