Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1949, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number.
Stock appears to have been previously sanded and has areas of heavy finish wear.
On the right side of the stock, the original finish is heavily worn from the butt to the grip. Above and to the left of the Swiss military acceptance stamp is a heavy gouge. On the left side of the stock, there is heavy finish wear at the butt from the heel to the toe. Gouge on the grip above the pistol grip. On the underside of the stock there are a few light gouges on and around the grip and pistol grip, and a heavy gouge near the rear barrel band. The handguard has a few light gouges in between the two barrel bands.
Receiver has mostly light to mild finish wear, with some moderate finish wear on the forward half of the left side and heavy finish wear on the rear half of the left side. Fair edge wear around the loading slot. Light surface scratches on the top side at the rear. Moderate to heavy finish wear and mild patina on the rear barrel band. Light finish wear on the front barrel band, with heavier finish wear on the stacking arm. Light to mild finish wear and mild patina on the exposed barrel Heavy edge wear and mild to fair finish wear on the front sight base. Very light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear on the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
