Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1947, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture had been sanded and refinished as the Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the butt is barely visible. Wood has a very worn appearance due to the presence of many dark marks from scratches, gouges, and handling wear on a light colored wood. Many gouges found throughout the furniture. The right side of the stock is covered in light gouges and scratches from the butt to the grip. Heavier gouge found above the pistol grip. Heavy gouge on the forearm in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is heavy handling wear along the woodline from the grip to the right side of the finger groove. Light gouges along the forearm in between the two barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there are multiple gouges, including a few heavy gouges, from the butt to the pistol grip. There are several gouges from the forward end of the magazine plate to the rear barrel band. Numerous gouges along the comb, including a pair of heavy gouges at the end of the comb before the receiver tang. The handguard has a heavy gouge on the top side in front of the rear barrel band.
All bluing has been well refurbished. Receiver has light edge wear around the loading slot. Both barrel bands have very light to light finish wear and light patina. Light finish wear and light patina on the exposed barrel. Magazine plate has a small mark in the finish next to the magazine catch.
Receiver is P stamped.
