Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1943, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has areas of moderate to heavy handling wear, particularly around the butt of the stock. Finish is also worn around the butt, with heavier finish wear on the left side. On the right side of the stock, there are multiple marks, scratches, and scuffs at the butt. There is a large pressure mark on the pistol grip. Around the finger groove area there are multiple mild to fair pressure marks. There are also a couple of gouges below the finger groove. To the right of the finger groove, there are several mild to fair pressure marks and one heavy pressure mark. On the left side of the stock, there are a pair of light scrapes in front of the rear barrel band. At the woodline below the receiver is an area of moderate handling wear, with various marks On the underside of the stock there are multiple gouges on the left side of the toe and various pressure marks and light gouges from the toe to the pistol grip. Multiple pressure marks along the comb of the stock. The handguard has a long gouge on the top side, in between the ferrule and the rear barrel band. About halfway between the two barrel bands there is a grouping of gouges.
Receiver has mild to fair finish wear. Heavier finish wear on the left side of the receiver at the rear. Mild to fair finish wear around the loading slot. Fair edge wear on the right side of the receiver with a small area of moderate finish wear at the forward edge. Rear barrel band may have been refinished as there is only very light finish wear. Rear barrel band spring has been polished and is in the white. Light finish wear on the front barrel band. Front sight base has heavy edge wear and mild finish wear. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light finish wear on the trigger guard. Magazine has light finish wear throughout.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
