Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1943, in very good condition with 93% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture had been refinished with a gloss finish. The Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock is sharp and well defined. There is also a tiger stripe pattern in the stock, predominantly on the underside.
On the right side of the stock, there are some scattered light to mild pressure marks around the butt. Around the finger groove, there are multiple light pressure marks above the finger groove, a light gouge to the left of the finger groove, and a couple of light gouges below the finger groove. On the forearm between the finger groove and the rear barrel band, there are several light gouges along the lower edge, a heavy pressure mark, and a few mild surface scrapes. There is some scraping in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are several light pressure marks around the butt and grip. Between the grip and the right side of the finger groove, there are multiple fair to moderate pressure marks. Light gouge above the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there are a few gouges, including a larger gouge near the pistol grip. Between the end of the magazine plate and the rear barrel band, there are pressure marks, some light scrapes, and a small gouge before the rear barrel band. The handguard has multiple mild to moderate pressure marks throughout, as well as a few scattered light gouges. Heavy gouge on the top side near the front barrel band.
All bluing has been refurbished. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Light to mild finish wear on the left side of the receiver at the rear. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light tool marks. Light edge wear on the trigger guard.
