Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1942, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are multiple small scratches along the rear edge of the butt. There are various small gouges on the butt, including a long gouge to the left of the Swiss military acceptance stamp. There is a long mild pressure mark to the left of the finger groove, an area of heavy finish wear below the finger groove, and some small pressure marks along the upper edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a crack at the grip that was armory repaired. Several gouges found on the forearm in between the two barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is a very small chip on the toe and various small marks along the toe. There are three wood rivets to the left of the magazine plate but there do not seem to be any related cracks visible externally. Small gouge just forward of the magazine plate as well as various light to mild marks. Gouge directly adjacent to the rear barrel band. Heavy wear at the heel as well as some gouging and a pair of very heavy pressure marks on the comb. Handguard has heavy handling wear with many gouges and pressure marks throughout, particularly between the two barrel bands. The gouging on the right side of the handguard, rear of the rear barrel band, partially extends onto the stock.
Receiver's finish is lightly worn, with slightly heavier finish wear at the rear of the receiver. Light to mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light edge wear and light finish wear on the right side. Rear barrel band has mild to fair finish wear. Light finish wear on the front barrel band and a few surface marks on the top side. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
