Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1940, in very good condition with 90% finish. 3/5 Bore (dull bore, light pitting). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has been previously sanded and refinished. Despite this, there are still various pressure marks and gouges present. On the right side of the stock, there is a gouge on the woodline below the rear sight and a gouge below the woodline, below the handguard ferrule. On the left side of the stock there are a pair of long pressure marks rear of the grip. There is a pressure mark on the right corner of the finger groove and a series of pressure marks to the right of the finger groove. Scrape on the forearm in between the two barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there are a few fair to moderate pressure marks near the toe. Gouge near the front barrel band. On the comb of the stock there is a gouge as well as some older heavy gouges that have been filled in and repaired. The handguard has a pair of gouges on the right side, one before and one after the rear barrel band.
Bluing has been refurbished and the receiver exhibits minor to very light finish wear and little to no edge wear. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light patina. Magazine plate has a small scratch in front of the magazine but otherwise exhibits little finish wear. Very light to light edge wear on the trigger guard. Magazine base has some spots of light pitting.
Receiver is P stamped.
