Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1938, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Handguard has a faint tiger stripe pattern. Pressure marks found throughout the furniture, particularly around the butt. On the right side of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the grip above the trigger. On front of the rear barrel band there are multiple moderate to heavy pressure marks and a gouge on the woodline between the stock and handguard. On the left side of the stock, there is some finish wear above the toe. Light gouge on the woodline above and to the right of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are multiple pressure marks and light gouges between the butt and the pistol grip. On the forearm there are a pair of heavy pressure marks before the rear barrel band. The handguard has a heavy gouge on the left side before the rear barrel band.
Mild finish wear throughout the receiver. Light to mild edge wear around the loading slot, light edge wear on the forward and rear edges, mild edge wear on the right side of the receiver. Rear barrel band has light finish wear, some scratches in the finish, and surface marks on the right side. Very light finish wear on the front barrel band which may have been refinished. Mild finish wear on the trigger guard. Light finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
