Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1937, in good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore (worn rifling, light pitting at the start of the rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
The pin for the front sight base is missing, however the front sight base still seems to be solidly attached to the barrel.
Furniture appears worn and may have been previously sanded at some point, however the Swiss military acceptance stamp is still visible on the right side of the stock at the butt.
There is a worn label on the right side of the stock at the butt that reads "Waffen-Identifikation" but the information on the label is no longer legible.
On the right side of the stock, there are numerous heavy pressure marks and some light gouges throughout the butt. There is a heavy gouge just below the comb. On the grip and pistol grip, there are a few moderate to heavy gouges and some long pressure marks. Numerous dark marks between the two barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there are multiple heavy pressure marks above and to the left of the rear sling mount. Light gouge just rear of the pistol grip. Various scattered pressure marks throughout the left side of the stock. On the underside of the stock, there are a couple of mild gouges near the toe as well as several heavy pressure marks. There is a heavy gouge in front of the magazine plate. The handguard has a pair of very heavy gouges on the top and left side, near the ferrule.
Receiver finish is lightly worn, with heavier finish wear on the left side at the rear. Light to mild edge wear around the loading slot, light edge wear on the right side. Rear barrel band has heavy finish wear and heavy patina. Front barrel band has light finish wear and light patina. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Mild to fair finish wear and moderate patina on the base of the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped.
