Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1937, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Moderate to heavy finish wear around the butt of the stock.
On the right side of the stock, there are some mild pressure marks around the butt. Heavy gouge on the bottom of the grip and light marks on the grip. Mild pressure mark below the bolt release lever. Handling wear around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, There is a gouge, near the heel and there are a pair of scrapes rear of the rear sling mount. Rear of the grip there is a large pressure mark and there is a light gouge on the grip. On the underside of the stock, there are a pair of heavy gouges at the butt. There is a heavy scrape on the pistol grip and a gouge on the grip near the rear screw of the magazine plate. Handguard has some light pressure marks scattered throughout but otherwise no major blemishes.
Receiver finish is mostly lightly worn, with heavier finish wear at the rear of the receiver on the left side. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Light edge wear on the right side. Rear barrel band has fair finish wear. Front barrel band has light finish wear, with heavier finish wear on the right side and on the bayonet lug. Minimal finish wear on the magazine plate. Light edge wear on the trigger guard and an area of light pitting on the underside. Light edge wear and light finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped. 56 stamped on the receiver tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1956.
