Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1956, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has areas of heavy finish wear and heavy handling wear. The finish is heavily worn around the butt.
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks and light gouges throughout the butt. There is a mild pressure mark below the right side of the bolt release lever. On the forearm between the right side of the finger groove and the rear barrel band there are several small, light gouges. Multiple mild pressure marks throughout the left side of the stock. On the left side of the stock, there is an area of heavy finish wear on the butt in front of the rear sling mount, likely caused by a button on the sling. On the underside of the stock, there is some moderate to heavy gouging on the pistol grip and various mild to moderate pressure marks throughout. There are multiple small, light gouges in the area between the forward end of the magazine plate and the rear barrel band. On the comb of the stock there are a few heavy pressure marks. On the handguard, there are multiple light gouges from the ferrule to the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn throughout. There is some light scratching in the finish over the chamber. Slightly heavier finish wear at the rear of the receiver. Light edge wear around the loading slot and on the right side of the receiver. Rear barrel band has heavy finish wear and light patina. Light to mild finish wear on the front barrel band. Light edge wear on the trigger guard and the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
