Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1918, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial number. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Very light tiger stripe pattern in the stock. Furniture exhibits fair handling wear throughout, as well as various pressure marks ranging from mild to heavy. On the right side of the stock there is a group of heavy pressure marks around the butt. Two of the pressure marks have resulted in a vertical surface crack. Series of light pressure marks at the grip. There are many mild to heavy pressure marks at the midpoint of the stock, before and around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are many light pressure marks around the butt. Grip has a pair of mild to fair pressure marks. Moderate handling wear at the woodline below the receiver. Above the midpoint of the finger groove is a heavy gouge. On the underside of the stock there are various small pressure marks. The pistol grip has a few small gouges. Multiple small, light pressure marks along the forearm. Fair pressure mark near the front barrel band. The top of the handguard has a series of light to mild pressure marks in front of the rear tangent sight. Scratch on the top right side of the handguard in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has light finish wear and mild edge wear at the rear, adjacent to the bolt plug. Light edge wear around the top lightening cuts. Light to mild edge wear around the loading slot. There are several small marks scattered across the receiver. Rear barrel band has very light finish wear. Front barrel band has heavy finish wear overall. Mild to fair edge wear around the front sight. Magazine plate has light finish wear. Trigger guard has mild edge wear and finish wear on the underside. Magazine has fair to moderate edge wear and mild finish wear on the underside.
Bottom bolt knob has a small crack. Bolt knobs matching serial numbers.
Receiver is P stamped. Soldier's tag found under butt plate.

The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines.
