Product Description
Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1927, in good condition with 70% finish. 4/5 Bore (slightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Stock may have been sanded in the past as the Swiss military inspection stamp is not visible on the right side of the stock. However, the furniture still exhibits fair to moderate handling wear. On the right side of the stock there are multiple pressure marks along the butt. Multiple gouges found along the grip. There are a couple of long scratches to the left of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are multiple very light to light pressure marks along the side of the butt and on the grip. Small gouge at the woodline, above and to the right of the finger groove. Someone had scratched the initials "P.C." on the inside of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there are several gouges found before the pistol grip. Small gouge in front and to the left of the magazine plate. There are multiple light to mild pressure marks along the comb and a large chip at the tang. Handguard has multiple mild to moderate pressure marks throughout. An armory repair is present behind the rear sight and in front of the rear barrel band toward the left side.
Steel may have been partially or completely reblued at some point as the tangent sight is blued on the top at the range markings where it is normally polished and in the white.
Receiver finish exhibits fair to moderate finish wear overall. Heavier finish wear noted on the top at the chamber, as well as at the rear of the receiver on the top and left sides. Mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light edge wear around the lightening cuts. Light finish wear on the rear barrel band. Front barrel band has light edge wear and light patina. Moderate finish wear on the exposed barrel and front sight. Moderate to heavy finish wear on the magazine plate. Trigger guard and magazine both have heavy finish wear.
Receiver is P stamped. "37" is stamped below the serial number, indicating arsenal refurbishment in 1937.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.

The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines.
