Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1915, in very good condition with 95% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock non-matching serial number. Handguard matching serial number. Bolt non-matching serial number (sn 440683). Magazine matching serial number.
Diopter sights are installed. Front sight is a tunnel sight mounted by way of a clamping mount in front of the original front sight. Rear diopter sight is a Grunig & Elmiger adjustable aperture sight installed into an Anschutz adjustable diopter mount, mounted onto a dovetail rail. Receiver was tapped and the dovetail rail attached directly onto the top of the receiver. The Grunig & Elmiger diopter sight has an adjustable aperture with selectable color and tint filters: clear, three levels of light attenuation, red tint, and yellow tint. The "orange" setting on the dial is not an orange filter but instead is another light attenuation filter.
Furniture has been refinished with a high gloss finish, but does not appear to have been heavily sanded as the Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock and on the top of the handguard are sharp and well defined. Light pressure marks throughout the furniture. Tiger stripe pattern throughout the handguard. The stock has been armory repaired around the grip. On the right side of the stock, there is a light gouge below the woodline, above the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a rounded rectangular insert near the toe. Light pressure marks throughout the handguard.
All bluing has been refurbished. Limited finish wear on the receiver. As mentioned above, a dovetail mount has been installed into the top of the receiver. Limited finish wear on both barrel bands, and very light to light tooling marks on each barrel band's mounting screw. The hooked end of the stacking arm on the front barrel band had been modified in order to accommodate the clamp-on mount for the front tunnel sight. Limited finish wear on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine.
Receiver is P stamped.
