Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1917, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 1/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
The stock has a 1/2" unrepaired crack at the heel. The stock also is chipped on the right side at the woodline, directly in front of the bolt handle.
There are multiple gouges found around the butt of the stock on both sides. On the right side of the stock there are pressure marks along the grip as well as some light scratches and pressure marks to the left and above the finger groove. Light pressure marks along the forearm. On the left side of the stock, there are light surface scrapes near the butt, below the heel. Pressure marks found along the side of the stock below the receiver as well as multiple long pressure marks along the woodline above the finger groove. Small, light gouge at the woodline past the finger groove, with a matching gouge above it on the handguard. Light pressure marks on the forearm between the front and rear barrel bands along the woodline running between the stock and handguard. Long, light gouge on the underside of the stock before the pistol grip. Finish wear on the forearm just past the finger grooves. Pair of parallel heavy pressure marks on the forearm before the front barrel band.
Receiver has several light scratches in the finish. Light edge wear around the loading slot and the three lightening cuts. Small spot of mild edge wear at the rear of the loading slot. Light to mild edge wear at the rear of the receiver. Light finish wear on both barrel bands. Magazine plate has light to mild finish wear. Trigger guard has mild to fair edge wear and light finish wear. Magazine has fair finish wear on the bottom.
Receiver is P 46 stamped, indicating privatization in 1946.

The Model 1911 rifle is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle produced by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern that employs all of the upgrades of the converted 1896/11 rifle from the factory. The Model 1911 rifle is chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) and was produced by the Swiss federal armory from 1913 through 1919.
