Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1918, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Bolt knobs matching serial number.
Furniture has light to mild pressure marks throughout. On the right side of the stock, there is a gouge below the forward end of the comb, above the grip, near the tang. Heavy gouge below the bolt release lever. Around the finger groove there are several very light pressure marks and a light gouge on and above the upper edge, and a mild pressure mark on the bottom edge. Light scratches before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is light gouging on the grip and a couple of light gouges at the woodline forward of the grip. There are a couple of light scrapes forward of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge and some light scratching in the area between the sling mount and the pistol grip. Multiple light pressure marks and scratches found around the magazine plate. There is a small chip at the receiver tang. On the handguard there are a few small gouges on the top side in between the two barrel bands.
Overall bluing seems to have been previously at least partially refurbished. Receiver has light finish wear over the forward half, which increases in severity to fair-moderate toward the rear half. Light pitting found throughout the receiver. Mild edge wear around the loading slot and the lightening cuts. Light edge wear on the right side of the receiver at the forward edge. Moderate to heavy edge wear at the rear edge. Rear barrel band has had its bluing refurbished and exhibits little finish wear. Light finish wear and light edge wear on the front barrel band. Heavy finish wear around the muzzle. Mild finish wear and some areas of light pitting on the magazine plate. Heavy finish wear and light pitting on the trigger guard, and there is a heavy mark on the right edge. Light to mild finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
