Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1918, in good condition with 75% original finish. 4/5 Bore (spots of light pitting throughout bore). 4/5 Stock. Stock non-matching serial number (s/n 462150). Handguard matching serial number. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture had been previously sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock, there are some light surface marks at the butt. Mild gouge at the woodline, parallel with the woodline, before the rear barrel band. Light gouging near the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are some remnants of previous gouging on the butt of the stock. On the grip is a light scrape and mild pressure mark. Mild pressure marks on the right side of the handguard near the front barrel band.
Bluing overall is heavily worn. There is a nice brass-colored patina throughout. Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light patina. The finish on both barrel bands is heavily worn and there is heavy patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard have heavily worn finish and heavy patina. Magazine body has moderate to heavy finish wear, and the base is polished and in the white.
Receiver and barrel are P55 stamped, indicating privatization in 1955.
