Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1915, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture appears to have been previously lightly sanded. The Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock at the butt is shallow. The Swiss military acceptance stamp on the handguard is almost gone.
On the right side of the stock around the butt there is some white paint transfer below the comb and various mild pressure marks. There is a gouge on the grip. The left side of the stock has numerous light pressure marks throughout. There are several small gouges on the pistol grip. Past the grip, below the receiver there are several mild to fair pressure marks and multiple small gouges. In front of the finger groove there seems to be a remnant of a gouge that had been sanded away. Multiple light pressure marks at the forward end of the comb. The handguard has some scattered light to mild pressure marks. There is a light scratch on the top side of the handguard near the front barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn overall, with a small spot slightly heavier worn on the top side between the lightening cuts and the loading slot, and on the left side between the loading slot and the lightening cut. Mild edge wear around the loading slot and the lightening cuts, fair edge wear at the rear of the receiver. Various light scratches and surface marks throughout the receiver. Rear barrel band has fair to moderate finish wear and a surface mark on the top side. Mild finish wear and light patina on the front barrel band, and heavy finish wear on the stacking arm. Moderate to heavy finish wear on the barrel around the muzzle. Mild to fair finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy edge wear and moderate to heavy finish wear on the trigger guard, as well as several surface marks on the edge of the trigger guard. Heavy finish wear and patina on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
