Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1909, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture had been previously sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock, there are a few shallow gouges on the butt below the comb, some fair pressure marks to the left of the finger groove and light to mild pressure marks above the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are a few light pressure marks near the finger groove and scattered light pressure marks along the forearm. On the underside of the stock there are light pressure marks along the forearm, in front of the rear barrel band spring. Handguard has a mild gouge on the top side before the rear barrel band.
All bluing has been refurbished. Light surface marks at the rear of the receiver and around the loading slot. Rear barrel band has tool marks around the mounting screw. Front barrel band has light edge wear, very light finish wear, and tool marks around the mounting screw. Light to mild edge wear on the trigger guard. Trigger guard and magazine base has several surface marks.
Receiver is P stamped.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Includes leather sling.
