Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine non-matching serial number, with serial number 130300 (K11 produced in 1925).
Furniture appears to have been very lightly sanded. The Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock at the butt is visible but shallow.
On the right side of the stock, there is a light gouge on the pistol grip. Light gouge on the bottom left edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is a group of light pressure marks below the comb, before the grip. Light pressure mark above the finger groove. A couple of light and mild pressure marks before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are a couple of light gouges on the pistol grip. Gouge on the right side of the magazine plate in front of the magazine catch. There is a line of light gouging near the front barrel band. The comb is stamped for Canton Bern and has an armory rack number of 6767. Mild gouge next to the stamped armory rack number. Handguard has some scattered light pressure marks.
All bluing has been refurbished. Light finish wear over the chamber. Various surface marks and light pitting in the receiver are noted under the bluing. Very light to light finish wear and light tool marks on both barrel bands. Light pitting on the trigger guard. Light finish wear and mild patina on the magazine.
Receiver is P 36 stamped.
Bolt knobs have some surface marks. Bottom bolt knob has a small gouge on the underside.
