Product Description
Authentic full dress uniform of the Gendarmerie (Police) of the Canton of Vaud. Included shako (hat) has white and green pom, chin strap, and badge. Full button tunic with epaulettes, insignia, and trousers with belt.
Badge on the shako reads "LIBERTÉ ET PATRIE" (freedom and fatherland). There is some wear in the paint on the white and green medallion below the pom. Inside the shako is a paper adhesive label with the name "Morerod Yves" and the number "56" which may be the size.
Full button wool tunic (jacket) measures 30" from the top of the collar to the end of the tail. Fits an approximately 42" chest. The back of the tunic has a few small "dents" in it. Each button has the grenade insignia with "CANTON DE VAUD" on the top and "GENDARMERIE" on the bottom. Four chevrons on the left arm.
Blue cuirass has four small holes located near the center seam and one small hole on the lower right side.
Trousers measure 43" overall length. They have a 28" inseam and will accommodate approximately 36-39" waist. The sides have a thin blue stripe flanked by a thick blue stripe on either side. The blue stripes have an area that is lightly faded on the right side, below the mannequin's hand in the photo.
Buckle on the leather dress belt reads "GENDARMERIE VAUD" around the grenade insignia.
