Swiss Model 1957 bayonet for the Stg57, manufactured by Victorinox (V on ricasso). Military issue. Includes scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has small nicks around the edge. The very tip of the blade has been blunted or broken off. Scabbard exhibits handling wear.
Unlike previous Swiss bayonets, the Model 1957 bayonets were numbered separately, rather than when the rifle was issued to the soldier. The soldier's issued M1957 bayonet's serial number is unlikely to match the issued Stgw57 rifle.
