Smith & Wesson model 39 pistol (39-2), previously issued to Canton Vaud police, in very good condition with 75% original finish. 5/5 Bore.
Right side of the frame has heavy edge wear and finish wear on the forward edge, with a flat mark on the forward edge. Small marks in the metal surface at the upper rear of the frame, to the left of the pin, and very heavy finish wear along the beavertail. Moderate to heavy finish wear along the edge of the backstrap. Fair edge wear at the top of the front strap, heavy edge wear at the bottom of the front strap. On the left side of the frame, there is a flat spot with associated heavy finish wear at the forward edge of the frame. Fair finish wear on the corner of the high area above the trigger. Finish wear underneath the slide stop lever. Heavy finish wear around the trigger guard and several scattered marks in the metal. Heavy finish wear on the bottom corner of the front strap. Moderate to heavy finish wear at the rear of the beavertail and areas of heavy finish wear on the backstrap. Front strap has multiple marks in the metal toward the bottom of the grip.
Slide has mild to fair edge wear around the muzzle. Right side of the slide has moderate edge wear near the muzzle which lightens in severity to mild toward the rear. Mild finish wear on the top of the slide in front of the ejection port. Heavy holster wear on the front sight, fair to moderate holster wear on the rear sight. Mild edge wear on the left side of the rear sight leaf. Left side of the slide has moderate edge wear at the upper edge near the muzzle. Heavy finish wear on the top of the safety lever.
Both wood grips exhibit heavy handling wear, with little original finish remaining on the bottom half of both grips. Right side grip has severely worn checkering, left side grip has heavily worn checkering.
