Swiss Military SIG P49, part of the second series, fourth delivery to the Swiss Army, in very good condition with 93% original finish. 5/5 Bore. Frame, slide, and barrel matching serial numbers.
Finish has a solid color overall. Right side of the frame has light edge wear at the forward edge and light edge wear along the upper edge. Light edge wear on the lower edge of the high area and on the dust cover. Light edge wear above the slide stop lever pin and spots of very light finish wear along the high area. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. On the left side of the frame, there is light edge wear at the forward edge of the high area and the dust cover, and very light to light edge wear along the upper edge. Very light curved mark on the high area from the slide stop lever. Mild to fair curved mark, a scratch, and light finish wear below the slide stop lever. Expected mark from safety selector usage. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Very light edge wear on the upper edge of the front strap. Light finish wear on the front of the trigger guard.
Slide has very light edge wear on the upper edge on both sides. Very light finish wear on the face of the slide. Light holster wear on the front and rear sights.
Black plastic grips have very good checkering.
Frame is P stamped.
Includes military leather holster with shoulder sling. Holster was made by "Walter Heiniger" of Huttwil (Oberaargau, Canton Bern) in 1956.

Originally manufactured in 1947 by SIG in Neuhausen, Switzerland, this pistol was first designated as the SP 47/8 and became the standard military pistol of the Swiss Army in 1949 under the designation Pistole 49 (P49). The military P49 is identified by it's A-Prefix serial number and has a distinct engraving of the Swiss shield above the slide just in front of the rear sight.
Later designated as the P210, this handgun is constructed of steel and is chambered in either 9x19mm or 7.65x21mm Parabellum. The SIG P210 has been manufactured continuously for over 55 years with numerous variations, all of which are highly valued for their historical significance and reputation for surgical accuracy.
