Swiss made SIG P210-4, manufactured and issued to the West German Federal Border Guard, Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS), delivered on 15 June 1951 as part of the first 500 produced. Very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. Frame, barrel, and slide matching serial numbers.
Frame has light scratches in the finish throughout from handling and use. Right side of the frame has light edge wear at the forward edge and light edge wear along the upper edge. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear on the beavertail. Left side of the frame has light edge wear at the forward edge, light edge wear along the upper edge, and light finish wear at the rear of the high area. Light finish wear on the front strap. Slide has light edge wear along the upper edge on both sides. On the left side of the slide near the muzzle end there is a small mild impact mark on the upper edge. Magazine base has moderate to heavy edge wear.
Original wood grips exhibit moderate to heavy handling wear. A letter D has been carved into the left side grip.

The SIG P210-4 was manufactured by SIG Neuhausen specifically for the Bundesgrenschutz. The lanyard loop is omitted from the frame and a loaded chamber indicator was added to the top of the slide. Approximately 5000 total were manufactured for BGS in 1951. In 1995, approximately 500 were manufactured as a special order for Frankonia-Jagd (serial numbers D6001~D6500).
