Product Description
This is the "Third Pocket Model" by American designer Merwin Hulbert. It is in good condition with 70% finish. 4/5 Bore. The hammer spur is designed to be foldable to prevent it from snagging when drawing from a pocket, however the spring and detent are missing so the spur will not stay in position. Cylinder stop is also not functioning correctly due to a damaged spring so the cylinder rotation and lock-up is loose. Revolver has a blued finish, which is uncommon on Merwin Hulbert revolvers. Antique; no import engraving.
Hammer and grip panels are non-matching serial numbers. These may be due to replacement or refurbishment. The rest of the frame is mostly matching.
Top of the barrel is roll marked "MERWIN HULBERT & CO. NEW YORK U.S.A." "PAT. APR 17. 77 JUNE 15. 80 MAR. 14 82 JAN. 9 83".
