Swiss Model 1957 bayonet, manufactured by Wenger. Issued with the SIG Stg57 (Stgw57/FASS 57). Includes scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has heavy marks and chipping along the edge. Severe gouge on the left side of the blade.
Unlike previous Swiss bayonets, the Model 1957 bayonets were numbered separately, rather than when the rifle was issued to the soldier. The soldier's issued M1957 bayonet's serial number is unlikely to match the issued Stgw57 rifle.
