Product Description
Swiss Model 1957 bayonet, manufactured by Victorinox. Issued with the SIG Stg57 (Stgw57/FASS 57). Includes scabbard and leather frog.
Blade is in fine condition. Scabbard has the earlier leather tab attached to it, for use with the earlier model bayonet frogs, instead of the later frog developed for the 1957 bayonet.
Unlike previous Swiss bayonets, the Model 1957 bayonets were numbered separately, rather than when the rifle was issued to the soldier. The soldier's issued M1957 bayonet's serial number is unlikely to match the issued Stgw57 rifle.
