Model 1918 Swiss bayonet manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen. Includes steel scabbard and leather frog.
Patina on guard and pommel. Previous owner had attempted to cut an edge on the blade, then attempted to fix it with a file. The edge has been squared off. There is some chipping on the edge.
Model 1918 bayonets were issued with the 00/11 Carbine, K11 Carbine, and K31 Carbine. As the serial number 886472 is out of the serial number range for the 00/11 and K11 Carbines, this bayonet would have been issued with K31 serial number 886472 in 1947.
