Model 1918 Swiss bayonet manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen. Includes steel scabbard and leather frog.
Dark bluing on scabbard but with heavy surface frost. Blade has surface frost as well as marks from the previous owner's attempt to either clean and/or sharpen the edge.
Model 1918 bayonets were issued with the 00/11 Carbine, K11 Carbine, and K31 Carbine. As the serial number 56247 is out of the serial number range for the 00/11 and K31 Carbines, this bayonet would have been issued with K11 Carbine serial number 56247 in 1917.
