Product Description
Swiss model 1914 sawback bayonet, produced by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, with leather scabbard and frog.
Blade has light pitting on the edge. Plating on the pommel has been worn off.
Leather scabbard has a heavy pressure mark around the center and has light gouging on the edges. Scabbard end cap has rust and the plating is wearing off. Frog was made by O. Wirz of Lenzburg (Aargau) in 1953.
The 1914 Sawback Bayonet was not a widely issued bayonet, and was only issued to select troops. The serial number indicates that it was issued with a K11 produced in 1917.
