Product Description
Swiss model 1914 sawback bayonet, made by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen. Includes leather scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has mild surface marks on the first two saw teeth. Spots of light pitting on the left side of the blade. Light surface marks and scratches throughout the pommel. Plating on the rivets is wearing off.
Leather scabbard has light scratches and gouging.
Leather frog was made by J. Scherrer of Sachseln (Obwalden) in 1936.
The 1914 Sawback Bayonet was not a widely issued bayonet, and was only issued to select troops. The serial number indicates that it was issued with a K11 Carbine that was converted from a model 1905 Cavalry Carbine.
