Product Description
Hammerli model 230 Rapid Fire target pistol, manufactured in Lenzburg, Switzerland, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. Frame is non-blued. Receiver, barrel sleeve, and compensator are blued. Frame has some surface nicks on the left side and underside of the trigger guard. The front strap has been customized by the original owner to add finger grooves, and an area on the right side of the frame above the trigger has also been customized with an additional groove added. The receiver has edge wear on the upper edge on the left and right side, and on the left side there is finish wear on the side from bolt manipulation. The barrel sleeve has edge wear on the upper edges on the left and right sides, edge wear on the underside, and light finish wear on the top side. The compensator has finish wear at the muzzle, edge wear on the right side near the muzzle, and some scratching on the top side.
Walnut grips are in rough condition. The previous owner had used some sort of hardening putty compound to both fit their hand better as well as to repair some damage. The left side of the grip has some scratches and the upper rear "wings" had chipped off and were rebuilt with this compound. There are also voids where some stickers used to be placed. The right side of the grip has a majority of the putty compound attached to it. There is a crack at the "beavertail" area on both sides that lead to the rear "wings". The underside of the grip has numerous small gouges.
Trigger is adjustable for take-up and weight. Rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation; front sight is fixed. Chambered in .22 Short, not .22LR.
