Antique Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of 24,550 rifles produced that qualify as Antique.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouge over the finger groove. Light gouges between the barrel bands. On the left side o f the stock, there are heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouge at the heel. Light gouging on the grip. Heavy pressure marks between the finger groove and rear barrel band. Mild pressure marks between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge in front of the magazine catch. Light gouging along the comb. Small chip at the receiver tang.
Receiver finish is mildly worn around the loading slot. Light scratches and surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish.
Receiver is P stamped.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
